Ja Morant Nike Ja 1

According to reports, NBA standout Ja Morant will join Nike’s list of signature athletes to receive their own shoe next year. After an incredible 2021-2022 season, Morant cemented his status as one of the league’s best new players, earning him the opportunity to design a signature silhouette.

Since being picked second overall this year, Morant has been a huge supporter of the Swoosh, wearing complete Nike sweatsuits in the tunnel and wearing a wide variety of Kobe and KD signature shoes. In 2019, the basketball star inked a multi-year endorsement arrangement with the company, and there has always been chatter around creating a trademark shoe line. That time has arrived, and we may expect to see releases on shelves sometime next year.

There will be three initial colors of the Nike Ja 1, all of which will debut in the summer of 2023 at Nike and other select retail locations. The suggested retail price for the men’s sizes is $110. “Phantom/Action Green,” “Cobalt Bliss/Citron Tint,” and “Game Royal/Black” hues are supposedly already in the works; in the next months, we may expect to see more reports on their launches.

In other sneaker-related news, Jordan has created a limited-edition Air Jordan 36 for Jayson Tatum based on the design of his Mustang.
