Today, R&B singer-songwriter Elaine unveils her new single and video “Shine.” The ZEKE and Stwo-produced song is her first offering of the year, concurrently signaling a new chapter in her artistry.
“Shine” is the South African sensation’s first single since 2021’s “Right Now,” which has amassed over 2.4 million YouTube views to date. Prior to that, she dropped a short film aptly titled The Shining Star, detailing her journey from an adolescent to one of this generation’s brightest music stars. With her latest offering, Elaine’s enchanting vocals are matched by the accompanying Jesse Ray Diamond-directed video. “I don’t wanna stop your shine, ’cause I love it when you shine (Yeah) / I just hope they know you’re mine, when they see you shine,” she sings over the instrumental.
It’s been a bit over two years since the release of her 2019 debut EP Elements. Although she has yet to announce another full-length project, hopefully this latest song hints at a bigger release in the works. Listen to “Shine” below.
