South London-based artist Ego Ella May has released the video to her standout cut “YoYo.” It serves as a focus track from her newly released EP, Fieldnotes, and headlining shows next year.
The four-track EP is the first in a series of independent releases taken from a collection of new music, crafted during lockdown by the hotly-tipped artist who deftly weaves the worlds of Soul, Jazz, and contemporary R&B into her compositions. Elsewhere songs like “Breathe” and the Flwr Chyld-assisted “Speak Of Dust” serve as prominent songs off the project.
Directed by Natalie Wilson, “YoYo” clocks in just over three minutes with production from Geo Jordan. The visuals effortlessly mesh well with the instrumental and Ego Ella May’s ethereal vocals. Watch below.
