Coi Leray, otherwise known as the biggest trendsetter, is back with her latest single aptly titled “Anxiety.” Produced by Kid Hazel, the record serves as her first official release of the new year and teases her forthcoming debut album, Trendsetter, slated to drop later this year.
“Anxiety” is a more intimate record from Coi Leray as she details depression, paper chasing, and her detractors not wanting to see her on top. The song, which clocks in just over three minutes, is arguably some of her most intriguing to date with the music star stepping into new territory both sonically and subject-wise. “I still got anxiety, that’s why I keep it on me / Sometimes I feel like, can’t trust no one around me,” she shares in the opening verse of the record.
Last year, she made major waves with the release of “No More Parties,” “Big PURR” featuring Pooh Shiesty, and “TWINNEM” amongst several others. Each respective record had massive movement across streaming and platforms such as TikTok, further cementing that she’s here to stay. Not to mention, she was included in the XXL Freshmen Class 2021 cover alongside other talented artists and collaborators.
If you thought last year was a phenomenal year for the Coi Leray, her latest single signals that she’s ready to turn things up a notch again. Listen to “Anxiety” below.
