CLAY Calls On Alessia Cara For Her New Single “WTSGD”

Alt-pop artist CLAY unveils her new single “WTSGD” with music phenomenon Alessia Cara. Produced by Yakob (6LACK), the R&B-tinged record arrives ahead of the Los Angeles-based singer’s forthcoming EP Breathing Into Bloom.

“‘When the Sun Goes Down’ is an honest exploration of what it feels like to struggle with your mental health. The nighttime often being the hardest,” the songstress shares. “Amidst the sadness, the final line provides a glimmer of hope to hold onto, “no matter how dark it gets, just as the sun does set it too must rise.”

“WTSGD” sees the pop starlet struggle to find inner peace while facing her own demons. The record arrives weeks removed from her January release of “Artery,” her first record after a bit of hiatus. Now, reinventing herself through her artistry, fans get an even deeper and more introspective glimpse into the rising songbird.

CLAY’s forthcoming sophomore EP Breathing Into Bloom is due May 4th. In the meantime, listen to her latest single “WTSGD” with Alessia Cara below.
