Ciara Makes Her Return With “JUMP”

Today, Ciara makes her much-awaited return with the release of her new single “JUMP,” the first single from the musician since the summer of 2020. The record welcomes a new era in her artistry with several singles and a possible project to follow.

“JUMP” marks the singer-songwriter and dancer’s first single since 2020’s “Rooted,” a tribute to Black excellence that she filmed two days ahead of giving birth to her third child, Winn Harrison. The record features Ester Dean and has accumulated a whopping five million views on YouTube. More recently, she appeared on “Ciara’s Prayer” from Summer Walker’s chart-topping sophomore album Still Over It. The brief interlude saw the songstress recite a prayer that helped her get through her turbulent relationship and meet her now husband. Elsewhere, she collaborated with Kellogg’s Rice Krispies for their family-oriented campaign, leading to the release of “Treat.”

The record arrives under Ciara’s new record label Beauty Marks Entertainment in a joint venture with Republic Records. Speaking on her new signing, the singer says, “I am thrilled to partner with Uptown/Republic Records through my own label imprint Beauty Marks Entertainment. Wendy and I have been in discussion to work together for some time and the enthusiasm that her and the entire team have expressed over this new project marks an exciting new chapter in my career.” She continues, “I am grateful to be able to continue my mission of making the world dance with a team I admire, who are at the forefront of empowering artists.”

Lensed by Edwig Henson—known for his work with SZA, Rubi Rose, Chloe Bailey, and Latto to name a few—the cover art sees Ciara wearing a deconstructed Air Jordan 5 bodysuit made by Los Angeles-based designer Cierra Boyd. Boyd previously made headlines for her Balenciaga corset that she made for Cardi B in addition to working with names like Kim Petras and Kat Graham.
