As she prepares for her self-titled debut album due in the coming months, Chlöe returns with the release of her new single and its accompanying music video “Surprise.” The song continues to delve into her sexuality and freaky side with sexual innuendos laced throughout the track as the singer-songwriter’s honey-hued vocals grace the instrumental.

In April, Chlöe released her sophomore solo effort “Treat Me,” which notably contains a sample from Bubba Sparxxx’s 2005 hit track, “Ms. New Booty.” The song, exploring her sexuality as does its predecessor, details how the singer wants to be treated, catered to, loved, and all the above. Prior to that, she made headlines with the release of her debut music video for 2021’s “Have Mercy,” which has since garnered over 90 million views on YouTube. All three records will appear on her forthcoming studio album, slated to arrive later this year.

Kicking the record off, she sings, “If you be good to me then I’ma be great to you / If you stay down for me then I’ll stay awake for you / Surprise, slip my panties to the side.” In the song’s opening verse, the singer continues, “You like the way that I ride (Yeah) / Give you a piece of the pie (Yeah) / You say that you could just stay up and eat it all mornin’ and into the night.”

The new record is produced by Scott Scorch and IllaDaProducer, the beatmaker behind Megan Thee Stallion’s “Girls in the Hood” and several other songs. Watch the video for Chlöe’s “Surprise” below.
