Singer-songwriter Cassie Marin returns with her latest pop anthem, “Push Me,” an anthem for anyone who has ever been told they couldn’t do or be what they wanted. The record opens with electro-pop production, undertoned with high-energy beats and fizzy synths that further cement the instrumental.

“When I originally wrote and produced ‘Push Me,’ I was in a headspace where I felt as if the outside world was telling me ‘no’ all the time. I was abused by people in my life, then judged for my sexuality and for who I was inside. I was surrounding myself with friendships that weren’t allowing me to express the full essence of who I am, and I felt like I was constantly being asked to change who I was in order to make others more comfortable,” Cassie shares in regards to the song.

She adds, “‘Push Me’ became my medicinal message and a constant reminder that the more I welcome every unique part of myself, the more complete I will feel all on my own.” The single arrives months removed from Cassie Marin’s critically-acclaimed song “Every Time I See The Ocean,” an ode to her upbringing near the beach. Prior to that, she unloaded records like “Tanto” and “Busy Body” amongst others.

Cassie’s latest string of singles serves as a glimpse into her forthcoming debut album, slated to release later this year.
