The Loneliest Time, Carly Rae Jepsen’s highly anticipated new album, will be released on October 21.
On The Loneliest Time, Jepsen builds on the emotionally strong lyrics and effervescent sound she’s shown off in the past, including on 2015’s critically acclaimed and culture-defining E*MO*TION, which was her most contemplative album yet. Tavish Crowe and Rostam Batmanglij were among the many artists with whom Jepsen collaborated on the recording of her latest album.
During her The So Nice Tour next month, Jepsen will offer her fans a taste of the upcoming album. In addition to performances at Radio City Music Hall in New York and The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, the tour takes begin on September 24 in Montreal. Empress Of will be her opening act on her first North American headlining tour since 2019’s The So Nice Tour. For every ticket sold to Jepsen’s show, PLUS1 and the Ally Coalition will get $1 in support for their efforts to help LGBTQ+ youth in need.
On September 21 in Cleveland and September 22 in Toronto, Bleachers and Carly Rae Jepsen will co-headline a gig with Jepsen, as well as an appearance at the Austin City Limits Festival on October 7. Purchase tickets here, and in the meantime, listen to “Western Wind” below.
Elsewhere in music, Stela Cole has delivered a glammed-up and gritty message on self-worth in “Rhapsody in Pink.”
