Montreal-based fashion label BRIELLE pulls inspiration from the natural wonders of the world, using earthy tones and textures that pay homage to the Anthropocene.
Founder Gabrielle Szynkarsky’s designs, as she states, are mediated through images, the immersion of travel, and through her own poetic expression and composed prose. This sentiment is often highlighted in the designer’s collections and lookbooks, often drawing from the environment and elements of her garments to emphasize the love of the human body unbound.
The womenswear label recently unveiled its latest collection, “Mother Of Pearl,” which presents reimagined staples and coral reef-inspired prints. Standouts in the new range of garments include catsuits with imitation pearls and rhinestones, a lace dress, a satin skirt, and more. The Coral Reef Catsuit dons an all-over print and a knitted glove, whilst the Micro Coral Reef Print Mini Skirt takes on a satin construction with a rhinestone floral pearl clasp at the side front slit. Both pieces can be paired with the label’s Micro Print Neck Scarf boasts a clear crystal buckle to complete the look.
Other standout pieces from BRIELLE’s new collection include the Syreni Dress, a shoulderless pink lace dress with faux skirt lining, as well as the Crystal Sea Jumpsuit which features an opened chest with embellished rhinestones and imagination pearls. Meanwhile, the Écume de Mer set is comprised of a shoulderless top, a mini skirt with flap detailing, white lace leggings, and a neck scarf to complete the outfit. There’s also a knit hood, Capri leggings, and crop top available in similar styles.
Retailing from $140 to $750 USD, you can shop the “Mother Of Pearl” collection via the BRIELLE website.
