Weaving her R&B-tinged pop into infectious songs, 20-year-old singer and songwriter Blessing releases her new single aptly titled “character.” Driven by guitar, the record is among one of her strongest works to date as she describes the qualities of her respective subject.
“Cause I didn’t know you were bound to heighten all the foreign parts in me / You and I speak a different lingo, but behind the scenes,” she sings. Her captivating vocals grace the instrumental, further putting her artistry on full display.
“character” follows previously released tracks “girl like me” and “boys like you.” All three are slated to appear on Blessing’s forthcoming debut EP the girl next door which is due out April 22nd. In the meantime, listen to “character” below.
