Today, rapper Big Jade drops Pressure, her debut project via Alamo Records, which puts her raw lyricism and Texas-sized charisma on full display. Putting her daughter and her hometown of Beaumont on her back, Jade proves that she’s heir incumbent to the throne of Texas rap’s queen. Jade rhymes from her unique perspective, as a bisexual single mother and part-time hairdresser determined to ascend to the top of the game with her pure, athletic rapping.

Big Jade’s project includes her lead single, “Dem Girlz” featuring Dallas rising star, Erica Banks and Jade’s mentor in the rap game, Houston mainstay BeatKing. There’s also “Pressed” featuring Houston up and comer, OMB Bloodbath, where Jade drops a confident warning to anyone that would try and step up to her. “Up Now” to me is the most urgent song on the record though, featuring a laidback beat that provides a perfect canvas for Jade to come through and talk her shit and show off all the flows she has in her bag. Check out the project below.
