The Best Yellow Jordans to Buy Right Now

If you want to take your everyday ensemble up a notch, add a pop of color with a pair of bright yellow Jordans. Luckily, there’s quite a handful of silhouettes and colorways to choose from, including staples like the Air Jordan 1 all the way up to more recent iterations like the Air Jordan 36.

In regards to styling, an all-white attire with bright yellow shoes is a summertime statement that not everyone can pull off. While an all-black ensemble might be more practical to pull off, we recommend adding a touch of color, whether it be with the Air Jordan 4 “Lightening” or Air Jordan 14 “Ginger.” To keep your style straightforward, pair yellow Jordans with your favorite pair of jeans or cargo pants then add an appropriately colored shirt to round off the look.

Yellow and black seem to go together well, therefore most streetwear enthusiasts tend to gravitate toward this combination. We’ve compiled a list of the best yellow Jordans currently available online, so scroll down to have a look!

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Yellow Toe

After years of speculation, the highly anticipated “Yellow Toe” Air Jordan 1 High was released to the public in 2018. The colorway debuted in 2018 as a personal edition worn by guitarist Zach Myers, but it took almost four years for Jordan devotees to get their hands on the shoe.

The all-leather upper has a black trademark Swoosh and a white quarter panel with yellow accents. Amber accents can also be seen on the heel overlay and collar flap, which has a vintage Wings insignia on the lateral side. The tongue of the black nylon shoe has a woven Nike Air tag. The high-top has a white midsole, a white heel counter, and a yellow rubber outsole; all of these features sit on a sturdy rubber cupsole.

Air Jordan 4 Retro Lightning

Inspired by Michael Jordan’s Motorsports team, the 2021 Air Jordan 4 Retro “Lightning” brings back a highly sought-after design that debuted in 2006.

The nubuck top is swamped with a vivid yellow color, set off by the black netting and the shoe’s characteristic dark grey structural wings. The Jumpman logo on the heels and the braided tongue tag is also done in a matching grey. Floating above a dark grey herringbone rubber outsole is a white PU midsole that is bolstered by a visible Air sole cushioning system.

Air Jordan 14 Retro Ginger

The Air Jordan 14 is a significant piece of Michael Jordan’s storied basketball history. The shoe, however, has been considerably eclipsed by other trademark shoes and is only occasionally released in new adaptations.

The Jumpman insignia of Michael Jordan’s fourteenth trademark shoe has been reimagined to evoke the car’s shield badge, while the shoe’s color scheme of the “Ginger” colorway is inspired by the F355 Ferrari. The midsole’s vents resemble the radiator in an engine built for speed, and the black rubber slit on the back of the shoe is meant to seem like tire treads.

Taking cues from the OG Low “Ginger,” this variant has a golden yellow nubuck upper and a white leather toecap. Black laces, tongues, and embellishments round out the design.

Air Jordan 5 Retro SP Michigan

In honor of their successful football season, the University of Michigan’s Wolverines received their own exclusive colorway of the renowned Air Jordan 5 model. It has the school’s traditional colors of yellow and navy blue. The shoes, which were originally distributed to the players as player exclusives, include the school’s “M” emblem on the tongue and the phrase “Inspire” written on the tongue label.

The upper is made of an Amarillo nubuck that has been designed and constructed with TPU mesh midfoot inserts, toggled laces, and an embroidered Jumpman on the forefoot. The name of the shoe is shown on a luminous tongue, and a vintage-style label is sewn onto the back of the heel. Furthermore, this shoe has a translucent frosty outsole and a Navy midsole with a speckled shark teeth pattern on the medial side.

Air Jordan 13 Retro Melo Class of 2002

Carmelo Anthony’s high school, Oak Hill Academy, was a nationwide basketball juggernaut, thus Jordan Brand released the Air Jordan 13 Retro “Melo Class of 2002” to honor the school’s achievements. The upper of the shoe is constructed from nylon, leather, and suede and is colored black, university gold, and university red to represent the school’s colors. The right shoe’s sockliner reads “Class of 2002,” while the left one has Melo’s signature insignia. There are some minor aesthetic defects, making this AJ13 Retro a B-Grade.

Air Jordan 4 Flyknit Volt

Michael Jordan’s incredible game-winning shot versus Cleveland with just six seconds remaining in regulation helped cement the Nike Air Jordan 4’s status as a basketball classic. For the silhouette’s 30-year anniversary, Jordan Brand released the AJ4 Flyknit to pay tribute to its historic inception. The monotone shoe debuted in June 2019 and includes Flyknit mesh on the upper and a Nike Air unit for comfort.

Air Jordan 18 Retro Yellow Suede

The Air Jordan 18 celebrated its 15th anniversary in September 2018, and a tonal yellow colorway was launched to commemorate the milestone. The upper is made of a single color of suede, and it has flaps that cover up functioning air vents and a fold-down shroud that is fastened with snaps. The customary chrome eyelets have been replaced with tonal yellow ones, and the white TPU midsole provides a nice contrast.

Jayson Tatum x Air Jordan 36 Nitro Taco Jay

The Air Jordan 36 “Taco Jay”  colorway, which had been a player exclusive for Jayson Tatum for quite some time, debuted in June. The color scheme is inspired by his family’s custom of eating tacos post-games, and its colors—citron pulse, atomic green, and cone—are meant to evoke corn tortillas and guacamole.

In addition to the eye-catching colorway, the Jordan 36s also includes a mascot that pays homage to Tatum’s iconic eyebrows in the form of a serious taco. The shoes come in a custom shoebox with a Jumpman and tacos printed on the inside. The insoles and heel both read “Taco Jay” in a cantina-style script.
