It wasn’t until this past year that we got our first look at the Curry Flow 9, a basketball sneaker that Steph Curry and the rest of the Under Armour team have been working on ever since 2019.
The 34-year-old tasked UA’s research and design team with coming up with the concept for the Curry 9 after asking them how he could gain a fraction of a second in shot production thanks to his shoes. Several features work together to answer Curry’s question; among them is UA WARP, an innovative upper technology that serves as seatbelts for the foot. The solution provides lockdown without compromising breathability or a lightweight feel, all without restricting the player’s natural range of motion.
On top of that, Curry, Damian Lee, Kent Bazemore, and several other NBA players provided feedback that led to changes to the UA Flow sole used in the Curry Flow 8. The reactive foam is still there, but the toe and side traction patterns have been adjusted. Thus far, the basketball player has already partnered with the likes of Sesame Street and paid homage to several milestones in his career through unique colorways.

The “Game Day” iteration of the Curry Flow 9 is designed to provide you with the stop-and-go pace and control you need to perform at your very best. The uppers are constructed with UA Warp technology, which includes a molded collar for enhanced comfort and a new and improved TPE-blend sockliner with a lower compression set for more energy return. Curry Flow 9 Gameday White Black
The Curry Flow 9 “White Black” is a lightweight basketball sneaker that has rubber-free construction. The UA Flow midsole and outsole provide responsive cushioning and outstanding traction while serving as the distinguishing element of Stephen Curry’s ninth signature model.
Torsional support is increased thanks to the exposed shank plate in the midfoot. UA Warp is used for the upper, which is a lightweight and breathable white mesh reinforced with tonal nylon bands and bright yellow polyester wires for a locked-down feel.
Sesame Street x Curry Flow 9 Elmo
Sesame Street has left a lasting impression on both our age and the generations who came after it, making it one of the most recognizable children’s shows of all time. Curry Brand has done a great service by immortalizing the charming characters in a slew of Curry Flow 9 hues, bringing much-deserved attention to them. The crimson uppers and furry tongue of the Sesame Street character “Elmo” are mined for all their inherent cuteness in this interpretation. Other motifs can be seen on the heel while the design is rounded out by a white outsole.
Curry Flow 9 For The W
Earlier this year, Steph Curry won his fourth NBA title with the Golden State Warriors, keeping him quite busy. The 2022 NBA Finals Most Valuable Player is going to add another MVP trophy to his shoe collection. The “For the W” Curry Flow 9 has a pastel color palette of blue, purple, and pink that looks particularly great for springtime. Maybe he wanted his two girls to feel like they belonged on the court with him, so he designed these shoes in their favorite colors.
Sesame Street x Curry Flow 9 Cookie Monster
Curry Flow 9 improves upon the utility of its predecessor by enhancing the UA Flow system and introducing UA Warp. Together with the UA Flow supporting tapes, the UA Warp technology increases foot stability. Even in the most demanding conditions, the UA Flow midsoles will keep you moving as you would in a pair of socks. The “Cookie Monster” colorway pays tribute to the iconic mascot with a furry, fuzzy upper, distinctive tongue tab graphics, and a flag with subtle character design at the heels. The shoe’s sock lining also has the iconic Sesame Street logo.
