Best Brown Air Jordans Releases RAYDAR

Jordan Brand has shown a wide range of colorways and patterns throughout the years, giving sneakerheads an endless amount to choose from. Besides the timeless black and white iterations, brown Air Jordans are an essential part of every sneakerhead’s collection.

There have been a lot of brown Jordans released throughout the years, but below are some of the more popular drops to date. These sneakers can be worn all year round due to their versatility in terms of outfit-complementing apparel and accessories.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Dark Mocha

Nike released many visually stunning renditions of the Air Jordan 1 for the 2020 holiday season. The “Black Mocha” iteration of the Swoosh is the newest addition to the renowned collection of brown Jordans. The high-top shoe has an off-white upper with dark brown and tonal black accents, suggestive of highly coveted Travis Scott’s AJ1 “Cactus Jack” release.

The shoe has a gray Jumpman emblem on the tongue and black Swoosh and Wings logos on the side and collar, respectively. This timeless silhouette is modernized with a striking color blocking of brown and black on genuine nubuck leather. An off-white midsole and a black outsole round off the design.

Air Jordan 4 Retro Taupe Haze

The Air Jordan 4 “Taupe Haze” is just one of many new sneaker releases from the Jordan Brand released in early 2021. Because of its similarities to Travis Scott’s Air Jordan 4 colorway, many sneakerheads were anticipating its debut.

The upper is largely colored with a combination of two neutral shades while the typical netting, the buttery suede mudguards, the leather overlays at the toe and midfoot, and the collars are all wrapped in the shoe’s namesake color. In addition, the eye stays, cages, netting underlays, sock liners, and heel counters are all done in a solid black. In addition to the “Infrared 23” label on the heels, it is also noted that the Jordan logo on the tongues and the less liked Jumpman emblem are colored in the same incendiary hue.

As we get to the sole unit, we see that the midsole is divided in half, with the forefoot area covered in a striking black hue and the heel area, which has an exposed Air unit, surrounded by a pristine white hue.

Air Jordan 6 Retro Wheat

Jordan Brand released these Air Jordan 6 Retros as part of their Holiday 2017 release lineup. They’ve got a brand new golden harvest and sail hue, therefore they’ve been dubbed the “Wheat” version. Featuring a whole suede upper, a sail-colored midsole, and milky transparent accents on the outsole. This pair of AJ 6s is a must-have for every sneakerhead.

Air Jordan 14 Retro Winterized

Jordan Brand included the Air Jordan 14 “Winterized” in their Holiday 2021 assortment. Here, the classic design gets a makeover to better withstand the cold weather. This release includes a suede upper and fleece inner to keep your feet toasty instead of the traditional mesh and leather.

The sneaker’s upper is constructed entirely of suede in Archaeo Brown, and its signature ribbing and perforations are debossed into the material. The Jumpman logo is black and orange, and the tongue and heel strip are hit with the latter. To reach the sail midsole, you’ll notice carbon fiber for the shank plate and a dark brown for the teeth. Finally, the shoe is completed with a contrasting black midsole.

Zion Williamson x Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Voodoo

Towards the end of 2022, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Voodoo” was launched in collaboration with Zion Williamson, after the release of the Jordan Zion 2 of the same name.

The “Voodoo” iteration of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG includes a patchwork upper made of hemp, canvas, and a suede panel. Exposed stitching, embroidered crosses in the toe box, midfoot Swooshes, backward tiny Swooshes, flipped tongue tags and Wings motifs, and custom-printed insoles are just some of the ways the uppers are adorned. Rope laces and mismatched sockliners provide a unique touch. Off-white, stitched-unevenly midsoles and gum rubber outsoles make for a sneaker that’s a cut above the rest.

Air Jordan 4 Premium Wheat

The iconic Air Jordan 4 silhouette has seen several different variations since its first debut in 1989. This time around, the “Wheat” style is inspired by the popular Timberland work boot. In place of the usual netting on the side panels, each pair has minimal perforations and a leather upper, all of which is finished off with a yellowish gum outsole.

Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan 36 Black Samurai

Washington Wizards standout Rui Hachimura and Jordan Brand unveiled the Air Jordan 36 “Global Games” in mid-2022, a sequel to their Air Jordan 8 collaboration the year prior. The shoe sets continue to pay respect to Hachimura’s Japanese heritage by being rendered in a composition reminiscent of dried clay works, with touches of bright red piping and lettering in Kanji. The tongue pull tabs are patterned in the typical grid style, including a mismatched Jumpman and Hachimura’s samurai emblems that his mother created in honor of the family name.

There is an artwork of cherry blossoms and mountain ranges on the insoles and soles, with the odd basketball thrown in for good measure, and the uppers include extra red stitching elements here and there. The design is finished off with a cushioned sole unit that includes an Eclipse Plate 3.0 and transparent Air Zoom outsoles. Each pair comes in a sleek black shoebox with ukiyo-e-style illustrations of Rui Hachimura dunking over opponents.

Air Jordan 1 Low Utility GS Teddy Bear

The Air Jordan 1 “Teddy Bear” is a playful take on everyone’s favorite plush toy from their youth, complete with a faux fur upper and a few pops of color. Therefore, brown takes the cake, adorning not only the faux fur at the sole but also the overlays, the outsole, and the even crazier chenille laces. Not to be lost in the midst of all that texture, white is used for the logo and the midsole to complete the package.

Air Jordan 3 Retro SE Winterized

Updated from Tinker Hatfield’s original 1988 design, the Air Jordan 3 Retro SE “Winterized” is made with a weather-resistant material and construction. The mudguard is pink suede, and the collar is purple ballistic mesh. The top is brown nubuck, which is water-resistant.

Contrast stitching replaces the usual elephant pattern on the dark grey nubuck overlays at the forefoot and heel. Both the molded heel and the exposed foam tongue feature the iconic Jumpman logo. The lightweight cushioning comes from the two-tone polyurethane midsole and the visible Air-sole element in the heel.

Air Jordan 13 Retro Wheat

The “Golden Harvest” nickname was given to this version of the Air Jordan 13 Retro. The top is made of suede, and the tongue is likewise made of suede for a tactile contrast with the upper’s leather. The only contrasting element is the green hologram on the heel, while the gum outsole also has black. Released in 2017, this was an extremely popular release that calls back to the winter season.
