A BATHING APE and New Balance collaborated on the 2002R in 2021 to create two distinct styles. The Japanese label’s distinctive patterns, like camouflage print and shark images, were included in the collection, which also included a slew of clothes to go along with it. Three new colors for the 57/40s will be released soon, as disclosed this week by the two brands.
They are made of a combination of mesh, suede, and leather with a more bright, multicolored blocking on one shoe and grey/black and green on the others. Finishing touches include BAPE camo on the “N” emblems and a shark pattern around the heels.
The BAPE x New Balance 57/40 sneakers will be on sale online on July 27th and in-stores on July 30th, according to the BAPE website. On the New Balance website, a larger release is scheduled to take place at a later time.
