Balenciaga rapidly shifted gears back to more subdued pursuits after celebrating their Resort 2023 collection amid the raucous, gritty environs of the New York Stock Exchange. The renowned fashion company launched a circularity initiative on September 26 with the goal of facilitating the resale of pre-owned Balenciaga items owned by its customers.
Those interested in selling their gently used Balenciaga items may do so via the label’s “Re-Sell Program,” which allows them to do so at any of the label’s retail locations or arrange for a pick-up at a time that’s convenient for them. Reflaunt verifies the legitimacy of products before listing them for sale on more than twenty-five marketplaces for secondhand goods, such as Vestiaire Collective, Tradesy, and Rebelle.
The final payment for acquired goods may be made in the form of either cash or shop credit, the latter of which will be worth 20% more. Credit is valid at 15 different Balenciaga stores worldwide, including the flagship on Fifth Avenue in New York City, the Parisian boutique on Avenue Montaigne, and the London department store on Sloane Street.
The campaign ultimately takes advantage of the very high demand for pre-owned Balenciaga goods. Its mission is to empower and reward customers who take part in the process of reducing, reusing, and recycling. Learn more about the program via the brand’s website.
