Coming off the heels of his self-titled debut project, Aligo shares his brand new music video “Magic Words.” Produced by Dan Diggas, the smooth instrumental provides the perfect canvas for rising artist to reveal his vulnerability for a love interest.
Speaking on the track, Aligo shared, “’Magic Words’ brings me back to high school when I used to write raps for girls that I liked. They probably weren’t that good at the time, but I always loved the poetic power of rap and always try to dive into concepts where I can speak directly to women.”
He added, “I also wanted to figure out a way to acknowledge the #MeToo movement and normalize men advocating for women in public.”
The visual treatment of “Magic Words” sees him going back to basics with an intimate studio performance. Sharing the studio space with Allan Andre who paints Aligo’s EP artwork freehand,
the video is a steady creation of an EP artwork masterpiece matched with an EP of excellence in both storytelling and execution. Dive into the impressive visuals below.
