Originally released in 1988, the Air Jordan 3 OG “Fire Red” is making its highly-anticipated return in 2022.

The “Fire Red” features a much darker elephant print color surrounding the toe box and heel area that separated it from other original colorways, featuring a black-on-grey combination. Meanwhile, the Nike Air logo appears on the heels while the Jumpman logo can be seen on the tongue in red. The red hue also appears on the midsole, resting atop a grey rubber sole.

When the sneaker dropped back in ’88 alongside other color schemes such as the “White Cement,” “Black Cement,” and “True Blue,” the AJ3 “Fire Red” certainly became one of the highly coveted iterations of the years to follow. Iterations of the sneaker were released in both 2007 and 2013, replacing the OG Nike Air logo with the Jumpman on the heel.

Set to hit shelves on September 10th, the Air Jordan 3 OG “Fire Red” will be available to purchase via SNKRS and partnering retailers. Check out official images of the sneaker below.
